Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create an account on Model Decks, we collect your name, email address, and — if you sign up with Google or GitHub — your profile picture. If you sign up with email and password, we store a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

When you purchase a deck, your payment is processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details on our servers. We only store a record that a purchase was made (payment ID, article, amount, and date) so we can grant you access to the content you bought.

How we use your information

• Account access — to let you sign in and view your purchased decks.
• Purchase fulfillment — to unlock the content you paid for.
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features (like staying signed in) will not work without them.

Third-party services

• Google OAuth / GitHub OAuth — for signing in. Their privacy policies apply to the data they process.
• Dodo Payments — for processing purchases. They handle all payment data under their own privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — for aggregated site usage data.

Data retention

We keep your account and purchase records for as long as your account is active. If you want your data deleted, contact us and we will remove your account and associated records.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days.
